I am thrilled to be the Prairie View Elementary School Principal. I have had the privilege of spending my career as an educator working with students at the elementary level. The first ten years of my career were spent in the Verona Area School District. I spent many years as a third grade teacher before transitioning to a third grade position at Netherwood Knoll Elementary School. While at Netherwood Knoll Elementary, I spent three years as a third grade teacher and two years as a second grade teacher before having the incredible opportunity to be the administrative intern. The commonality of all my experience has been the collaboration with others to provide the best possible educational experiences for students.
Having lived in Oregon for over ten years, I am very invested in the local community. I enjoy making connections with students and families at sporting events, community activities and even at the grocery store! I feel these connections can help build positive bridges between school and families.
One of my main goals is to ensure every student is provided the highest quality education possible in a safe and supportive learning environment. I strongly believe in both academic achievement and the long-term development and success of all students. Socio-emotional, physical and creative capacities are equally important in ensuring a child's wellbeing, learning, and growth. I am committed to helping each student achieve their very best by working together as a team with staff and parents. Every student is valued and worthy of our best effort.
I look forward to getting to know you and the Prairie View community. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me.
